Our mission

The EGCOA is a not-for-profit trade association, owned and governed by its membership, providing business support to European golf course operators and related stakeholders, presenting one united voice within the golf course industry.

  • Advocacy: The EGCOA shapes European Union legislation impacting the golf industry, ensuring that the interests of golf course owners are taken into account during policy-making processes.
  • Education and Professional Development: The EGCOA recognizes the importance of education and collaborates with industry associations and educational institutions to develop programs for golf course owners and managers. This includes hosting the annual European Golf Business Conference, which features industry-leading speakers who share the latest trends and insights.
  • Sustainability and Environment: The association collaborates with environmental organizations and government agencies to promote sustainable practices in the maintenance and development of golf courses, supporting efforts in environmental conservation.

The EGCOA's membership comprises national associations from various countries, including Belgium, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden. Through this extensive network, the EGCOA fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing among European golf course owners, aiming to enhance the business of golf course ownership and promote the sport's growth across the continent.

Key Objectives

To support the interests of golf course owners and operators by representing them on a European level by liaising with the European Commission, other European golf bodies, and relevant European and international organizations to professionalize and improve the golf business to grow the game of golf.
